|  | Tips for Motel discounts

I wanted to give this years Tour riders a few hints about getting discounts at Motels I found in 2008.
1- Ask for single bed room (usually less)
2- ask for discount for AAA, Seniors, AARP or any others
3- Ask which is less, if you are asked if you want smoking or non.
4- Stop early in the day. You will be more likely to get discount before motel if almost full.
5- You could ask if cash will be less than Charging. (not sure if this will work. It never has for me)
5- Be ready to leave and go down the street for a cheaper motel. They will usually try to keep you there.
I am sure there are more ways and others can add I am sure.
